In 2014 the Kinfolks Restaurant group was born. With the same great mission although with a food truck, the brand was off to serving the absolute best southern food staples around the central Florida area. After running into logistic issues, the company decided to part ways with the food truck concept all together.

Fried chicken brought me to the restaurant BUT banana pudding is making me write this review.

PROS: Great fried chicken, great smothered pork chops, great meatloaf. Excellent honey cornbread, collard greens, black eyed peas, baked beans, fried okra, and potato salad. All reasonably priced. This is my 3rd visit in 3 days to Kinfolks Southern Kitchen and the chicken is the absolute best anywhere. Forget any of those "fast food" chicken places, there is no comparison. Kinfolk's chicken is perfectly seasoned, tender, juicy and fried to perfection not greasy at all. I've had both white and dark meat here and, hands down, best to be had anywhere. PERIOD.
